Terms of Use

Workplace Japanese and this website are provided by ThinksView. These terms describe use of the website and learning service. For questions, contact smile@thinksview.com. The app’s download and use on Apple devices are also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Read Apple’s Standard EULA

1. Learning purpose and availability

Workplace Japanese is a task-training app for adults with some Japanese knowledge. It offers fictional office scenarios for language practice. It does not provide employment, legal or professional advice, or certify language proficiency. It does not guarantee exam, career or workplace outcomes.

The public website currently displays store availability as Coming soon. The current core course consists of 120 model-assisted drafts; independent content review, licensed audio and supplemental content remain unfinished. Store listings and in-app information describe the features available in a particular release.

2. Free and Premium access

Local learning does not require an account or agreement to cloud feedback. Free tasks are M01-S01 through M01-S10, M02-S01 and M03-S01. Premium provides access to all 120 core tasks while your entitlement is active. Local practice in authorized content has no practice-count limit.

Saved learning history, previously saved review cards and Free content remain accessible after Premium expires. Access to new practice in Premium tasks requires a valid entitlement. Restoring a purchase restores access; it does not restore device-local learning history. You can manually export and import that history.

3. App Store subscriptions

Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription. The price, currency, billing period and applicable purchase terms are shown by the App Store before you confirm. Both plans have the same core access and monthly AI allowance; an annual subscription does not provide the whole year’s AI allowance at once.

Payment, renewal, cancellation and refund requests are handled through Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; access normally continues until the current paid period ends, subject to Apple’s transaction status and any refund or revocation. Deleting the app or deleting learning data does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore purchases with the Apple account that made the purchase.

4. Optional AI feedback and limits

AI feedback requires internet, service availability and your explicit agreement to the in-app privacy disclosure. Confirmed response text is processed by our Cloudflare-hosted service and DeepSeek in China. The app does not upload recordings. Consent for text feedback is not consent for audio upload. You can withdraw consent in Settings and continue local practice.

Free includes 12 evaluated replies in the first service month and 5 in subsequent service months. Premium includes 300 per service month, with a limit of 60 successful replies per UTC day. Unused replies do not roll over. The service’s monthly reset date is shown in the app and can differ from a calendar month. Upgrading replaces the Free allowance rather than stacking it. Repeating the same network request does not create an extra charge; unsuccessful service responses do not consume a successful-reply unit.

AI-generated feedback can be inaccurate. Compare it with the task facts and reference answers. Typed responses, self-assessment and manually edited transcripts are not proof of speaking mastery. Some speech features depend on device and Japanese-language resource availability.

5. Responsible use

Use fictional information for practice. Do not submit confidential employer or client material, personal information about others, or recordings of real meetings. Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, attempt to defeat purchase verification or usage limits, or interfere with service security.

You retain rights in the original responses and notes you create. You allow us and the processors identified in the privacy disclosure to process the response you choose to submit only as needed to provide the requested service and as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Content and intellectual property

The app, website, lesson content and brand assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Your access allows personal learning and the app’s supported saving and export features. It does not grant a right to resell or redistribute the course or represent it as your own. Apple and Google names identify their respective platforms and do not imply endorsement.

7. Data, service changes and support

Keep an export if you need a copy of your learning history. Device loss or deleting the app may remove local history. Our Privacy Policy explains processing, retention, consent withdrawal and deletion.

We may correct lessons and change the service as it develops. We will reflect material changes in the relevant policy or service information and request renewed cloud consent when required. Temporary outages may affect online feedback. Mandatory consumer rights and Apple’s applicable terms continue to apply.
