Terms of Use

Effective October 23, 2026

Workplace Japanese and this website are provided by ThinksView. On iOS, the app’s download and use, including in-app purchases, are governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Android downloads and purchases are also subject to the applicable Google Play terms. These terms add information about the app and website and do not override applicable store terms. Contact smile@thinksview.com with questions. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

  • Read Apple’s Standard EULA
  • Read the Google Play Terms of Service

1. Learning purpose and availability

Workplace Japanese is an offline reference app for adults with some Japanese knowledge. It offers fictional workplace scenarios, phrases and communication strategies. It does not provide employment, legal or professional advice, assess speaking ability or certify language proficiency, and it does not guarantee exam, career or workplace outcomes.

The current course and phrases are model-assisted draft content awaiting independent review. Official store listings and in-app information describe the features and availability of a particular release. Earlier versions that offered optional AI feedback were provided under the terms in effect at that time; the current app does not offer that service.

2. Free and complete-course access

Learning does not require an account. Free content is the scenarios M01-S01 through M01-S10, M02-S01 and M03-S01, 30 free phrases and all 18 communication strategy cards.

The complete-course unlock is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It gives access to 60 selected scenarios across six collections and 120 curated phrases. It is not a subscription and does not include AI feedback or recorded audio. Free content, saved expressions, history and review cards remain available whether or not you purchase.

3. Purchases, restore and refunds

The App Store or Google Play shows the price and applicable purchase terms before you confirm. The store used for purchase processes payment. Use Restore purchases in Settings → Course access with the original Apple Account or Google Play account; a connection may be needed. A purchase on one store does not transfer to the other. For refunds, use the relevant store’s official help or contact us; eligibility depends on store policy and applicable law.

Restoring a purchase restores access; it does not restore device-local learning records, which you can move with manual export and import. Deleting the app or learning data does not remove a purchase, and importing a backup does not grant one.

4. Responsible use

Use fictional information when you save notes or replies, and do not include confidential employer or client material in backups you share. Do not use the app or website for unlawful purposes, attempt to defeat purchase verification, or interfere with the security of our services.

5. Content and intellectual property

The app, website, lesson content and brand assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Your access allows personal learning and the app’s supported saving and export features. It does not grant a right to resell or redistribute the course or represent it as your own. Apple and Google names identify their respective platforms and do not imply endorsement.

6. Data, changes and support

Learning records stay on your device. Keep an export if you need a copy; losing your device or deleting the app may remove local records. Our Privacy Policy explains what is stored, how to delete data held by the earlier online service, and your choices.

We may correct lessons and change the app as it develops. Material changes will be reflected in these terms, the Privacy Policy or release information. Mandatory consumer rights and applicable store terms continue to apply.

Contact smile@thinksview.com for content or technical issues. Include the app version, device model and scenario or phrase name where helpful, without confidential material.
