READ. UNDERSTAND. KEEP CLOSE.

More than a phrase. The context to use it.

Start with a situation you recognize. See who is speaking, what matters and how a useful reply changes with the context.

01

Understand the moment

Read the brief, notice who you’re speaking to, and pick out the facts that matter. Reveal Japanese text and explanations when you need them.

02

Compare useful replies

Read alternative replies side by side. See what each one means, who it suits and when to use it. An optional three-question check helps you revisit the details.

03

Keep it for next time

See how a changed detail changes the reply, save expressions and search phrases when you need them. Optional recall cards help you revisit what you saved.

TRY A WORKPLACE MOMENT

You missed the date.

Your manager explains a task and a deadline. You understand the task, but miss the date. What could you say?

You → Your manager

Ask for the part you missed.

A specific question helps you check the detail. Read why a reply fits, rather than memorizing one answer.

Two colleagues clarify a date with a desk calendar.

ONE USEFUL WAY TO RESPOND

すみません、日付だけもう一度いいですか。

Sorry, could I have just the date again?

Before you get started

Is this for complete beginners?

It is designed for adults who can read kana and understand basic Japanese sentences. Explanations and reading support help along the way, but this is not a course in the Japanese alphabet or a complete beginner grammar course.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. Scenarios, phrases, search, saving and quick checks work on your device without an account. Buying or restoring the complete course may need a connection. Japanese voice playback depends on a voice being installed on your device.

Does the app use AI or my microphone?

No. The app has no AI feedback, recording or speech recognition, and it does not upload your learning. Course text was drafted with model assistance and is labelled as draft until independently reviewed. Mark as studied records your reading; it is not a speaking score.

Is the complete course a subscription?

No. You can buy the complete course once through the App Store or Google Play. Purchases are separate between the two stores. Free scenarios, strategies and saved expressions stay available. Restoring a purchase gives you access to the paid content. To move your learning records, use manual export and import.

Which devices can I use?

Use the App Store for iPhone and iPad, or Google Play for Android. Each store shows which devices and regions are supported. In the app, choose the language for menus and explanations. The examples you study are in Japanese.
